Wisconsin Men's Lacrosse Club

2022 GLLL D1 CHAMPIONS
Wisconsin Red 7-Notre Dame 6

Wisconsin Teams
THE GLLL
Wisconsin's 3 teams compete in fall and spring. In Spring we play in the 40 team Great Lakes Lacrosse League [GLLL www.glll.org] against top competition from Notre Dame, Northwestern, Michigan State, Marquette, Iowa, Illinois State, Ohio State and Depaul. Wisconsin hosts the annual GLLL Championship Tournament with up to 40 teams competing in 2 Divisions.
Our Fall schedule includes our Annual 24 team Mad City Tournament as well as traveling to Chicago for the Big Ten Tournament and the Chicago Shootout. Big fall trips to California and Maryland have seen the Badgers post wins over UCLA, Stanford, Navy, Cornell, and Loyola to name a few.
Additional trips to the New Orleans Mardi Gra Tournament and international competitions against teams in Italy, Barcelona and Amsterdam have filled in the winter schedule.
The team prides itself on playing highly competitive lacrosse while keeping costs, travel and practice time relatively low. The academic demands of UW-Madison and other personal obligations of the players make the GLLL teams the right fit for our players. This formula allows for students to continue playing organized lacrosse while only committing two nights a week to practice. The GLLL teams generally travel together and schedule games to avoid conflicts with home football games and other major campus events.

"The best part about Badger lacrosse is that we have every skill, background, and commitment level imaginable, but at the end of the day, we are all out having a blast and getting to continue to play the game we love at a championship level."
